Primary Research

Primary ResearchThe objective of Survey PRAEG is to capture audience consumption and perception of Gaelic Language media through a demographically and geographically representative online panel. This involves universe establishment, setting and monitoring of samples, recruiting respondents, questionnaire specification and design, collecting responses, weighting schemes, data collation and report production.

 

Our starting point was to agree the weekly, quarterly and annual deliverables that our client needed. We were then able to use our knowledge of the final deliverables to design the weekly online survey. The weekly survey asks respondents about which Gaelic language programmes they have watched or listened to and what they thought of them. This allows us to estimate consumption, appreciation indexes and quality metrics.

MEDIA MONITORING AND DATA ENRICHMENT

content-case-studyWe classify TV programmes for their status as first run premiere, repeat, narrative repeat or channel premiere. This information is drawn from multiple sources and can be verified by using our logging equipment and system. We then go through a process of matching schedule information from different sources and appending the new attributes to measurement data. This allows us to dovetail our data for inclusion into industry systems, where it is used by our team and directly by clients who subscribe to the service.
